Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park $1 Coin
The coin’s coloured reverse represents Ulu��Ÿu-Kata Tjuṯa National Park’s spectacular skyline. The design also features the native Perentie Lizard.
Lord Howe Island Group $1 Coin
The coin’s coloured reverse represents the Lord Howe Island Group’s stunning landscape and features the Sooty Tern, a native seabird.
Willandra Lakes Region $1 Coin
The coin’s coloured reverse represents the Willandra Lakes Region’s rugged landscape and features the Wedge-Tailed Eagle.
Fraser Island $1 Coin
The coin’s coloured reverse represents Fraser Island’s sandy shoreline. The design includes the Australian Dingo, one of several species of wildlife native to the island.
Kakadu National Park $1 Coin
The coin’s coloured reverse represents Kakadu National Park’s primordial scenery, including a river scene featuring the White Snowflake Water Lily and a Black Necked Stork.
Australian Legal Tender
Issued as legal tender under the Australian Currency Act 1965, each coin bears the Ian Rank-Broadley effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and the monetary denomination on the obverse.
