The 2008 Kangaroo Dreaming- 2.5g Gold Rectangle Coin features a kangaroo surrounded by patterns of dots, symbolizing the hunters’ journey, and circles, representing the places where they stopped. Design by Darryl Bellotti, an Indigenous artist of both Yamatji and Nyoongar descent, the design is inspired by his boyhood memories of a hunting trip in north-western Australia. The Ian Rank-Broadley effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and the monetary denomination are shown on the obverse.
Housed in a beautifully illustrated presentation pack. Each pack includes an explanation of the artist’s design inspiration and depicts Darryl Bellotti’s signature. The pack also incorporates a CoA.
