'Brown' Mosasaur tooth 4.4 cm (1.73 inches)
This magnificent Mosasaur tooth measuring 4,4 cm (1,73 inch) was found in Morocco - in 2021. The fossil tooth comes from the mighty and feared Mosasaurus (Mosasaurus hoffmannii) which could reach a length of 18 metres and a weight of 5,500 kilos. It was thought that the Mosasaur's teeth were incredibly sharp. However, this is incorrect. The Mosasaur had conical teeth with a blunted tip. The Mosasaurus was a frequent hunter. So it could just be that this tooth saw several hunts or maybe even fights. So this could mean that this tooth carries with it a wonderful and unknown story.
The Mosasaur tooth is complete and features a beautiful deep brown colour, ranging from light to dark brown. It is quite a large tooth when you consider how big this saurus could grow. This tooth is incredibly well preserved despite its millions of years.
Important: the Mosasaur tooth is 100% natural (nothing has been restored/improved).
