Dichroic Glass was developed by the NASA space program as a component for their satellite mirrors. Dichroic Glass refers to a glass containing multiple layers of metals or oxides which give the Dichroic Glass optical properties. The main characteristic of this glass is that it has a particular TRANSMITTED colour and a COMPLETELY different REFLECTED colour as certain wavelengths of light either pass through or are reflected. The properties of the glass allow for extremely high temperatures whilst in the kiln.

It is ONLY when the Dichroic Glass is fired in a kiln that the true colour hue is revealed – thus NO two pieces can ever be made the same. All JENNY CHONG pieces are KILN fired for up to 11 hours.  This with the trademark colour placement techniques used by Jenny make her pieces an ORIGINAL, EXCLUSIVE and PROUDLY Australian hand made piece to be worn with any outfit.

All Dichroic Glass is manufactured in the United States of America and is imported into Australia.
