Following the outstanding success of the first Dreaming releases in 2009, the Mint proudly presents the 2010 gold, silver and platinum proof coins depicting Indigenous designer Darryl Bellotti’s unique interpretations of more well-known Australian animals.

The coin is issued as legal tender under the Australian Currency Act 1965.
Koala Design With Colour
The coin’s reverse depicts a unique interpretation of a Koala – a docile marsupial that lives in Australia’s eucalypt forests. The design is enhanced with a coloured pattern in the background.
